TSA introduces software that uses less-revealing body scanner images – The Washington Post.

The key here is that the operators do not get to see a person’s private areas because the software filters that out for the end user, simply drawing the suspicious abnormality in a box on a silhouette, thereby drawing attention for TSA Agents to focus on. Much less intrusive in the terms of a persons private areas being on display for strangers to look at.

Better. Much better.

Still doesn’t really prevent a terrorist determined to carry out a suicide attack from internally housing an explosive device.. but still adds a layer of security….
