As Instapundit comments on the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal…

Investigation into APS cheating finds unethical behavior across every level

Across Atlanta Public Schools, staff worked feverishly in secret to transform testing failures into successes.

Area superintendents silenced whistle-blowers and rewarded subordinates who met academic goals by any means possible.

Superintendent Beverly Hall and her top aides ignored, buried, destroyed or altered complaints about misconduct, claimed ignorance of wrongdoing and accused naysayers of failing to believe in poor children’s ability to learn.

Don’t forget the tons of unionized (public-sector) workers involved in the fraud, which goes to show it isn’t just executive and evil Wall Street people that act unethically. Although, that doesn’t play to some folks world-views…

Wait a minute… James you are blaming unions for this?? So it is the fault of NOT being in a union when corporate executive malfeasance occurs?? If only they would have been union members then that would not have happened…

You know, you have yelled far and loud that causation isn’t easily attributed, yet here you use unions as the cause, rather than say, using testing as a pure gauge of success, penalizing teachers and schools for underperforming students (where, perhaps parents are MORE to blame), or even using punitive measures as a way to push success.

Gotta say, James, the word “disingenuous” comes to mind… Talk about “world-vew”…
