Bill Daley | Obama Economic Policies | Bureaucratic Stuff | The Daily Caller

June 18, 2011

Daley couldn’t answer basic questions and continually faced criticism from the executives in the room. The business leaders even applauded each other’s criticism of the administration. “At one point, the room erupted in applause when Massachusetts utility executive Doug Starrett, his voice shaking with emotion, accused the administration of blocking construction on one of his facilities to protect fish, saying government ‘throws sand into the gears of progress,’” wrote Peter Wallsten and Jia Lynn Yang in the Washington Post.

What? You’ve got to be kidding me? I know one executive not invited to the White House Christmas Holiday of Non-offensive Origin Party.

Ah, the dastardly zombie “War On Christmas” tripe. In June. It was merely a year and a half ago that the Internet was abuzz with the Obama’s refusing a Christmas Tree in the White House… Absolutely false, of course. Not that that ever stopped conservatives. In fact, they prefer it that way: always harder to prove the negative, and it plays to the base…

Welcome to the pit of Rove, Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck and Coulter. Pretty dark down there, ain’t it?

Errr, Mike? The sleight of hand was quite… inept?

War on Christmas or no, more than one progressively minded person has probably found the idea of a Christmas Party at the White House to be…. distasteful at best and a throwback to more bigoted and close minded day. How many school districts and other governmental agencies have been forced to change their Christmas Parties or Celebrations or whatever into the less offensive Winter Solstice or Holiday Party. And you know this to be true. Which is why I took the swipe…

Ofcourse, that wasn’t the point of the post, which is why your comment switching the subject to something off subject led to my “inept” observation…

Well, Craig, your “point of the post” is just a typically obtuse attack on Obama through a stand-in. In fact, there is no information in the link (you, know, James’ “primary sources”), just proto-conservative rantings.

“Business community to William Daley, your Jedi tricks don’t work on us,” Manning said in an email. “The chickens are coming home to roost from the wholesale assault by Obama on the free enterprise system and the private job creators who make it run.”

Mix metaphors much, idiot? And by assault, you mean lowering taxes, codifying confusing regulations, and equalling the playing field around the world, right? So one of the few quotes in the piece is an email from a bomb-thrower from the Right? Yeah, sorry I couldn’t be too thrilled about addressing such a silly link, but your caption was at least something of substance that needed a reply.

I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that the Washington Post was chocked full of proto-conservative rantings…

    You learn something everyday…
