Why Are Taxpayers Paying for Wine Tasting? – Op-Eds – News Room – United States Senator Jim DeMint.

Hey look! More wasteful spending dressed up as a cure-all and with a smiley-face.

If we were to cut this, I’m sure we could classify it as…. “draconian”?

To answer your question posed: No, taxpayers are not paying for wine tasting. It is helping construction (i.e. j-o-b-s) for a “cultural center”, and gawrsh, we know how much conservatives HATE culture…

I love when conservatives call CATO “nonpartisan”. We can also call MM nonpartisan, how would that go over? Now the TEA Party is “nonpartisan”, too? Uh huh…

I’m sorry Mike, they’re paying for the “cultural center” where the wine tasting will take place.

Ofcourse, it doesn’t change that the government shouldn’t be paying for shovel ready (HAR!) projects.

Why don’t you just pay people to break rocks, and then move them, and then break them again…. yay! JOBS!

I think that money would have been better spent making shrimp run on treadmills.

What do you mean they already did that?
