Pelosi declines to call for Weiner’s resignation – Yahoo! News

Pelosi declines to call for Weiner’s resignation – Yahoo! News.

Actually, I agree with Pelosi on this. Either Weiner resigns in order to hush this up and move on with his life, or the people of his district vote him out.

He won’t resign I predict. And he won’t be voted out of office, because his voters are not “culturally backward”, to quote Chris Matthews….

Because of the long standing Democrat tradition and belief that if having standards is good… having double standards must be twice as good!

What do these and other politicians who run afoul of societal standards have in common? They are mostly, and Weiner is a perfect example, people who were shoved in lockers, dumped upside down in garbage cans, and given toilet swirlies on a daily basis as kids. So now they are power tripping trying to make up for being nothing but spineless little twerps who will never stand up and fight face to face, man/woman to man/woman, because they will get their collective assets handed to them. The metaphor can easily be applied to the intellectual debates they refuse to engage in on real issues (i.e. “where in the constitution do you find the authority to mandate the purchase of health insurance?” Nancy Pelosi: “Are you serious? Are you SERIOUS?” (then cutting off questions and discussion).

These are the politically correct castrati that illustrate how far we have fallen as a nation. Not all of us agree with or support these people, but enough do that they are now in office representing large numbers of Americans, and causing problems for the rest of us. That is a truly sad statement on the state of affairs in our once great nation.

Craig, your typical “double standard” line is totally off base. The only way you could apply it is in the similar situation of Chris Lee. Were Dems calling for him to resign? Nope. However, those that supported Ensign and Vitter calling for Weiner to resign are showing a lack of honesty. Those 2 did much more morally repugnant acts…

As for the tecan2driver comment. You have GOT to be joking. Totally indefensible and politically flexible “metaphor”. So the Vitter and Ensign stuff is no where near “truly sad statement”, huh? Nope. Just the Dems that you don’t agree with politically. Weak.

How about Gingrich during the Clinton impreachment hearings? Perhaps the “Leg Spreader” calling Clinton a “naughty boy”? Maybe those that denigrate gays while leasfing a double life, nearly always Republican… However, those that supported Ensign and Vitter calling for Weiner to resign are showing a lack of honesty. Michael, it’s quite interesting how you seem to find a reason to be offended where there actually is none. If you read my comments carefully, I mentioned Weiner and Pelosi as examples, but did not limit my criticism to members of either party, because doing so would be inaccurate.
